Snoop Dogg is the king of gangster rap and controversy. He is one of the top rap artists of all time, and has collaborated with many other artists such as Dr. Dre, Eminem, Pharrell Williams and The Pussycat Dolls. His latest album “Welcome To The Chuuch” is a collection of rap mix tapes.
Fergie is originally from the multi-platinum selling hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas. In 2006 she broke free from the group and did her first solo project, “The Duchess,” with a mix of hip-hop, pop, and dance tracks. Her first album, “Dangerously In Love,” was a chart topper with the hit single “Crazy In Love.” Her latest album “B’Day” is also seeing success and her latest single “Irreplaceable” has hit number one on Billboard Hot 100. Beyonce has also starred in such films as “Austin Powers” and “Dream Girls.”
My Chemical Romance was a popular, well-known band underground, and hit it big in 2003. They became a staple on TRL with the hit singles “I’m Not Okay” and “Helena.” Their latest album “The Black Parade” is getting great reviews and is said to be one of the top albums of 2006.
Fall Out Boy is a pop-punk band from Chicago. Their first album “Take This To Your Grave” features the catchy single “Grand Theft Autumn.” They finally saw fame in 2005 when they released their second album “From Under The Cork Tree.” Their single “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” became number one and now they are known as one of the most popular bands today. They are set to release their much-anticipated third album in 2007.
Jay-Z is the self-proclaimed “Best Rapper of All Time.” He has had numerous hit albums and singles and decided to retire after releasing “The Black Album” in 2004.
